Introducing PUNKU, a new musical project from the Lima producer/musician Grimaldo del Solar (from Latin GRAMMY nominated band Novalima) and the mesmerizing Peruvian vocalist Sylvia Falcón. Their debut single “Ancestral” is rooted in folkloric Peruvian traditions, meshed with electronic edges, floating ethereal vocals, and downtempo atmospheric vibrations. Haunting and beautiful at the same time. “Ancestral” also gets a driving remix from Novalima, keeping Sylvia’s hypnotic vocals over dubbed out basslines and infectious rhythms.
